With an international following for their folk, country, and family music, this dynamic duo blends elements of music and comedy with audience participation into one of the most contagiously high-spirited children’s and family shows around. As they accompany themselves on five-string banjo, guitar, mandolin, banjoukulele, and cello banjo, their good humor, energy, and harmonies provide great vibes in the community.

Firsts: Cathy was the first woman to win the West Virginia Old Time Banjo Contest (3 times). Marcy was the first woman to proficiently play the guitar, mandolin, steel drum, congas, hammered dulcimer, ukulele, cello banjo, tenor banjo, pennywhistle, bodhrán, spoons, and washboard all at the same time (just kidding, she can play only 5 at once).
Cathy and Marcy entertained the Queen of Thailand, sang at the White House Easter Egg Roll, performed at hundreds of folk festivals, and were on TV and radio. They’ve toured the US, Canada, Great Britain, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Israel. In their newest recording “Banjo to Beatbox,” they collaborate with young hip-hop stylist Christylez Bacon.
