About
Since 1986, more than 300 musicians gather every spring in Downtown Tucson to perform, swap songs, and teach at the Tucson Folk Festival. A grassroots and volunteer-driven endeavor at heart, the event is Arizona’s largest free to the public music festival. The annual celebration features more than 150 performances by local, regional and national acts on six stages, a young artist showcase, and a songwriting competition.
Our 39th Annual festival takes place on April 5 – 7, 2024! Thursday night features our official festival kick off party with an acoustic showcase and performer social at Monterey Court. Friday night features our annual Stefan George Memorial Songwriting Competition on the Plaza Stage at Jacome Plaza. The main event continues Saturday and Sunday featuring six stages downtown and more than 150 live performances including National Headliners, Local and Regional Acts, Songwriting Competition winners, Family Show Entertainment, Young Artist Showcases, Music Workshops, Arts and Crafts Exhibitors, Food Vendors and Beverage Garden! This annual family-friendly festival is held in some of the most historic sections of Tucson. Over 250 volunteers support the success of this free, accessible festival.
